See the Centennial Ball at the Times Square Visitor Center
I was so excited to see the newly renovated Times Square Visitor Center. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s definitely something to put on your list right now. There are so many things to do there it’s absolutely incredible.
Of course, the centerpiece of the Visitors Center is my old suit of crystal that I wore back in 2007 to celebrate my 100th Drop from atop One Times Square. The Times Square Alliance has dusted it off and made it sparkle. They even have a special New Year’s Eve countdown show every 20 minutes.
Other entertaining exhibits include:
The Confetti Wishing Wall where visitors can write their wishes for the New Year to be released at midnight as part of the 2,000 pounds of confetti released at midnight in Times Square onNew Year’s Eve
Vintage Newsreel highlights footage of Times Square’s past and present
A Broadway exhibit with hats from iconic Broadway shows
A Fantasy and Desire exhibit featuring a restored “Peep-O-Rama” sign from 42nd Street’s last peep show, along with three show booths, which now showcase videos on the history of Times Square.
Here’s a little video to show you what you are missing out on. When you’re done watching, head down to the Visitor Center and check it out for yourself!
